Anita Jenious is Director of the Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action and Disability Services Department (EAD). As Director, she also serves as Vanderbilt’s Title IX Coordinator, ADA Coordinator, and 503/504 Coordinator. The EAD provides institutional leadership in compliance efforts for equal opportunity, affirmative action and discrimination prevention through production of Vanderbilt’s Affirmative Action Plan, coordination of reasonable accommodations for persons with disabilities, anti discrimination training, and investigations.
Kayce Matthews is an ASSECT certified sexuality educator with over 10 years experience as an educator and trainer and 5 years working with victims of gender-based violence. Kayce Matthews joins the Coalition after spending three years as the Associate Director of the Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center at Vanderbilt University where, among other tasks, she was responsible for supervising and implementing both sexual violence prevention and response efforts on campus. In addition to her role as a sexuality educator and trainer, Kayce has served as an advocate for victim/survivors of domestic and sexual violence with the AmeriCorps Victim Assistance program in Nashua, NH, and completed her practicum with the Domestic Violence Unit of the Metro Nashville Police Department. On a personal note, Kayce is the proud mother of two young sons, Logan and James, and believes her most important job is to raise two socially conscious and emotionally literate young men.
Johnnie Williams, Director of MEND, joined the YWCA in September of 2014. Mr. Williams is responsible for overall development, leadership, and management of the YWCA’s MEND initiative including the community organizing effort. Mr. Williams holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Morehead State University. Prior to joining the YWCA, Mr. Williams has 10 years’ experience in management in the for-profit world. He also has a second career coaching basketball at the high school and collegiate level, his commitment to those athletes’ development as young men, students, and as basketball players, in that order, is inspiring. He brings a passion for helping young men become the best they can be and is very enthusiastic about working with us to reduce all violence against all women and girls in Nashville and Davidson County.
